New Jersey LD5
About Constance
CONSTANCE DITZEL’S interest in community service began in high school as class co-chair, and culminated as a youth ambassador for the International Sister-City Committee, representing Dayton, Ohio. Her involvement resulted in a scholarship to study in Luxembourg. She graduated from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio with a degree in languages and international studies.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
After working at National Semiconductor's European headquarters for three years, Constance found an ideal career in academic publishing, where words matter. She started in Sales, and was ultimately a commissioning editor, collaborating with teachers, administrators and authors to develop textbooks. In her most recent position she contracted academic music books for the global market, with leading works in World Music, African-American music, and Music Education.
PASSION FOR SERVING
Camden County has been her home base, where she raised her children in Haddon Heights. She now lives in Collingswood and is a representative of the Collingswood Republican Municipal Committee. Constance has become engaged with K-12 education and issues affecting our New Jersey families -- which have inspired her candidacy to run.
The LD5 district will be well-represented with Constance’s early cross-cultural mission, her work experience with authors and educators, and her interest in building a thriving environment for our families and local communities.
